CPD Seminar

Tekta’s CPD series has been developed to share our expertise, support industry professionals, and raise standards across the built environment. With over 25 years of experience delivering high-performance doorway solutions for controlled environments, we understand the real challenges faced by architects, contractors, and specifiers, and our CPDs are designed to address them directly.

Delivered both in person and online, our CPD programme offers a concise yet comprehensive range of seminars focused on specification, compliance, and performance. Each session is built around practical, real-world insight, helping professionals make informed decisions and avoid costly mistakes.

Our CPD series covers a wide variety of specialist topics. For fire safety, our Specifying Fire Rated Steel Doorsets seminar explores the importance of supporting structures, correct applications, and what truly defines a compliant system, going beyond the assumption that certified components alone guarantee performance.

We also run Specifying Steel Door Ironmongery, which focuses on the often-overlooked complexity of door hardware. This CPD provides a structured approach to specification while addressing key considerations such as fire compliance, accessibility, and security.

Controlled environments are a core area of expertise for Tekta, and this is reflected across multiple CPDs. Specifying Doors in Controlled Environments highlights common mistakes and outlines the standards and considerations required for successful specifications. Building on this, Specifying Automated Cleanroom Doors dives deeper into cleanroom applications, covering airflow, pressure control, and the specific design requirements needed to achieve compliance.

We also offer industry-specific sessions such as Specifying Doors for Food Factories, which examines how door design impacts hygiene, temperature control, and contamination risks, and Specifying Data Centre Doors, where we explore fire regulations, air permeability, acoustic performance, and security requirements essential to protecting critical infrastructure.

In addition, our Specifying High-Speed Doors CPD provides an overview of different door types, their applications, and key considerations such as activation, controls, and interlocking, helping professionals choose the right solution for the right environment.

At Tekta, we believe every doorway matters. Our CPD series is an extension of that belief, equipping professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and practical guidance needed to design and specify door systems that perform safely, efficiently, and reliably for years to come.
