Tekta’s new UK-made Rapidor Pharma high-speed door has been developed specifically for these demanding environments, combining rapid operation with hygienic construction and excellent air-permeability performance.

Designed for cleanrooms, pharmaceutical facilities, laboratories and other controlled environments, the Rapidor Pharma is particularly suited to high-usage areas where hygiene and low air permeability are essential. It has been tested at 50Pa and achieves Class 4 air permeability in both positive and negative pressure environments.

Built for hygiene

Every detail of the Rapidor Pharma has been considered with controlled environments in mind. To help meet cleanroom requirements, the door can be supplied with a Grade 304 or 316 stainless steel frame, while a powder-coated finish in a choice of colours is also available.

For maximum hygienic performance, the tubular motor is integrated neatly within the top hood, creating a compact, streamlined installation. The door can also incorporate a 10-degree sloping headbox, helping create a practical solution for hygiene-conscious environments.

Speed that keeps operations moving

With an opening speed of up to 2.0m/s and a closing speed of 0.8m/s, the Rapidor Pharma allows personnel and equipment to move quickly between areas. Faster opening also reduces the time an opening is exposed, supporting both productivity and hygiene.

The door features Tekta’s self-repairing curtain system, which automatically reinserts the curtain following an impact. This helps minimise disruption and can significantly reduce ongoing maintenance costs in busy facilities.

Safety is equally important. Standard equipment includes a light curtain safety sensor and flashing warning beacon, with additional options including an audio warning siren and red/green traffic lights. A range of activation methods can also be specified, including remote controls, proximity and radar sensors, pull cords and induction loops.
