A Day to Remember: Tekta Team Day at Raimes Vineyard

Yesterday, Team Tekta stepped away from the office and into the stunning countryside for our quarterly Team Day. A much-anticipated event designed to bring everyone together, strengthen collaboration, and have some serious fun. The location couldn’t have been more perfect: the beautiful Raimes Vineyard, nestled in the quaint Hinton Ampner, Alresford.

The day began with a relaxed morning of team catch-ups. With a mix of departments and regions in attendance, this was a great opportunity for colleagues to reconnect, meet new faces, and reflect on recent successes and upcoming goals.

After a brief welcome, we were treated to a guided tour of the vineyard. Our hosts at Raimes shared the fascinating process behind their award-winning English sparkling wines — from grape to glass — and gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the history and passion behind the business.

Next up was one of the highlights of the day: the Lego building competition. Teams were challenged to recreate Super Mario under time and communication constraints. The results ranged from wildly imaginative to impressively accurate, with a few questionable engineering decisions thrown in for good measure!

The fun didn’t stop there. In the afternoon, we kicked off our very own Crystal Maze challenge, where five teams battled it out across a series of physical, mental, and mystery games. Each station brought new laughs, problem-solving, and unexpected talents to the surface. From puzzle-solving to mini obstacle courses, everyone gave it their all.

After a closely fought competition, it was the Yellow Team who emerged victorious — taking home the bragging rights and a (symbolic but proudly worn) medal. Their teamwork, determination, and a healthy bit of luck saw them triumph in the final score tally.

The day wrapped up with well-earned drinks, a collective sense of achievement and of course our annual awards. Huge congratulations to our award winners: Fenn Browning winner of Values Champion and Jack Dixon of Customer Champion. We celebrated Oli Lee-Manning for winning Engineer of the quarter and Ricki Dudley for GBS Champion. Teri- Louise Fisher was awarded Unsung Team Player, Tony Croker for receiving best customer feedback and Gemma Llewellyn- Jones for D4 Champion. Not forgetting our Founder and Projects & Technical Director, Dale Moggach who was celebrated for him upcoming 25 year anniversary.

Whether it was through building Lego men, navigating maze challenges, or simply catching up, the day reminded us of the strength and spirit of the Tekta team.

Here’s to more days like this — and maybe a rematch next year!
