Tekta Launches “Charity of the Year” Initiative With Rowans Hospice

At Tekta, we’ve always believed our business is about more than delivering high-performance doorways and controlled-environment entrances, it’s also about being part of the community we operate in. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our “Charity of the Year” initiative. Each year, we will select a charity close to our hearts, often one whose work resonates with our team, and spend the next 12 months raising awareness, raising funds and giving back in meaningful ways across our company.

For 2026, our first Charity of the Year is Rowans Hospice, a local, deeply valued institution providing compassionate end-of-life and palliative care throughout South-East Hampshire.

Why Rowans Hospice?

Rowans Hospice stands out for the incredible support they offer: free inpatient and community care, access to their Living Well Centre, day-therapy services, spiritual and psychological support, bereavement counselling, and home-based care. Whether people turn to them in the hospice itself or receive care at home, Rowans Hospice cares not only for patients but also for their families offering much-needed comfort, dignity and compassion during difficult times.

Because most of Rowans’ funding comes from donations, fundraising, legacies and their charity shops, community support is essential to their mission. For Tekta many of whose team members have personal connections to the hospice, choosing Rowans felt like a natural and heartfelt decision.

What Tekta Plans to Do

Over the coming year, Tekta will launch a variety of fundraising activities and community initiatives to support Rowans Hospice. We plan to take on team challenges, organise bake-offs, fundraising events and donation drives all aimed at raising both awareness and financial support.

But it’s not just about fundraising. This initiative reflects our corporate values: giving back, building trust within our community, and reminding ourselves that our impact extends beyond the products we supply.

We invite employees, clients, partners and anyone reading this to get involved. Every bake sale, every donation, every act of volunteering counts.

Join Us in Making a Difference

By supporting Rowans Hospice through Tekta’s Charity of the Year initiative, you’re helping ensure that people in South-East Hampshire facing life-limiting illness receive compassionate, holistic care, and that their families receive the dignity, support and comfort they deserve.

Stay tuned for updates on our fundraising events and how you can help. Together, we hope to make a real difference one door at a time.
