The infamous Mars Wrigley are world renowned within the global confectionery market. With an extensive portfolio of confectionery brands, including Snickers, Twix, M&Ms and Starburst, each product has been carefully crafted at their Slough site, for over 90 years.
The Brief
Mars have 8 roller shutters, 43 speed doors and 3 loading bays at their busy Slough factory. Previously Mars were responsible for managing the performance and maintenance of their industrial doors, instructing a provider on loose terms where reactivity led the way. After moving management companies, Mars were keen to transfer this responsibility and pump further investment into the site.
The Solution
Mars appointed Tekta as their servicing provider during the summer of 2024. To date, Tekta have responded to a number of call outs, all within SLA, as well as having replaced several damaged or end of life parts. Account Management has been the key to success, with consistent site visits ensuring the complex needs of this factory are met without affecting production or general operations.
