Project Brief

Following the successful delivery of a previous project, Dechra once again partnered with Tekta to provide a specialist cleanroom door package for its new pharmaceutical facility. Building on an established relationship and confidence in Tekta’s technical expertise, the project involved the supply of 16 Sanidor Pass cleanroom personnel hinged doors, specifically selected to meet the demanding hygiene, durability and performance requirements associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

The Sanidor Pass doors provide a robust and hygienic access solution for controlled areas, supporting the high standards of cleanliness and environmental control required throughout the facility. Designed with cleanroom applications in mind, the doors combine reliable day-to-day operation with surfaces and construction suited to environments where hygiene and ease of maintenance are critical. Their specification provided Dechra with a consistent door solution capable of supporting both operational efficiency and the stringent requirements of modern pharmaceutical production.

Delivered as a supply-only package, Tekta worked in close collaboration with R&B Building Services, who were responsible for the installation of the 16 door sets on site. Effective coordination between all parties ensured the doors were supplied in line with the wider construction programme and ready for installation when required. The successful delivery builds on the established relationship between Dechra, Tekta and R&B Building Services, demonstrating continued confidence in Tekta’s specialist cleanroom door solutions and its ability to support high-performance pharmaceutical developments.

Tekta supplied 16 Sanidor Pass cleanroom personnel doors, engineered specifically to meet the stringent performance requirements of pharmaceutical, cleanroom and other controlled environments. Each door features a fully welded hygienic leaf and frame, providing a robust and easy-to-maintain construction suited to areas where cleanliness and environmental control are critical. With Class 4 air-tightness, a specialist insulated core and fire integrity of up to 120 minutes, the Sanidor Pass doors combine hygiene, thermal performance and fire protection within a single high-performance solution.

The doors play an important role in maintaining controlled conditions throughout the facility by helping regulate airflow and minimise the transfer of airborne particles between adjoining areas. Their high level of air-tightness supports cleanroom integrity, while the insulated construction helps reduce thermal transfer and maintain stable internal temperatures. Combined with enhanced fire performance and durable construction, the system provides Dechra with a reliable personnel access solution designed to meet the demanding day-to-day requirements of a modern pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Working closely with R&B Building Services, Tekta carefully coordinated the supply of all 16 door sets to ensure they were manufactured, specified and delivered accurately in line with the wider construction programme. This collaborative approach enabled R&B Building Services to carry out the installation efficiently, helping maintain progress on site and minimise potential disruption. The successful delivery further strengthened Tekta’s established relationship with both Dechra and R&B Building Services, building on previous collaborative projects and demonstrating Tekta’s continued expertise in providing specialist cleanroom door packages for highly regulated pharmaceutical environments.
