Industrial doors form a vital part of this infrastructure, helping to maintain controlled environments, protect sensitive healthcare products, support compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements, and ensure the safe movement of goods while minimising the risk of contamination or temperature fluctuations.

To maintain these demanding operational standards, Movianto required a trusted maintenance partner capable of delivering a comprehensive service across its estate. The requirement extended beyond routine maintenance to include planned preventative servicing, rapid reactive repairs, compliance inspections and long-term asset management. For the past seven years, Tekta has worked in partnership with Movianto to provide a comprehensive industrial door maintenance programme designed to support the site’s critical healthcare logistics operations. Through a combination of bi-annual planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits, rapid reactive repairs and targeted improvement projects, Tekta has helped ensure that essential access systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational throughout the year.

Regular planned maintenance has enabled potential issues to be identified and resolved before they develop into costly failures, reducing downtime and extending the service life of key assets. When unexpected faults have occurred, Tekta has provided a responsive reactive maintenance service, attending 92 call-outs over the course of the partnership to restore operations quickly and minimise disruption to temperature-controlled storage and distribution areas where reliability is paramount.

Alongside maintenance support, Tekta has delivered a programme of remedial works and capital improvements to enhance the performance, reliability and efficiency of Movianto’s industrial door infrastructure. Over the duration of the partnership, Movianto has invested approximately £162,000 in planned servicing, reactive call-outs and remedial maintenance, with a further £140,000 committed to improvement projects that have modernised key assets and reduced long-term maintenance requirements.
